  • Explorers Before/After Care Staff

    Explorers Before/After Care Staff                                                               
    St. Martin’s Episcopal School has an immediate opening for a teacher or caregiver to work with children in the Explorers Before/After School Program.  The work hours are Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM.  The rate of pay is based on level of training and experience.
    This is a full-time position eligible for benefits.  Must have experience working with children.  A degree in education or CDA (State of Georgia Bright from the Start Child Development Associate) credential is preferred.  This position will be working with children ages 3 through 8th grade. 
    Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
    • Conduct a progressive, challenging program for youth; create lesson plans monthly.
    • Monitor and report the behavior of students according to approved procedures; report progress regarding student performance and behavior.
    • Check and assist students with homework as necessary
    • Coordinate the distribution of afternoon snacks.  
    • Oversee students while involved in activities, maintaining order and procedures during all activities; e.g. classroom, gym, playground, etc.  
    • Take daily attendance, update student notes, and maintain bulletin boards.  
    • Work productively and consistently with afterschool program supervisors, other afterschool program teachers, parents, youth, and community.  
    • Attend designated orientations and in-service trainings.
    • Assist in ordering supplies and maintaining facility and equipment.

  • STEAM Resource Teacher

    STEAM Resource Teacher/Coordinator/Trainer                                                                            August 2018
    St. Martin’s Episcopal School seeks a faculty member to focus on STEAM based, Project based, and Hands-on instruction.  This position will oversee the STEAM program at St. Martin’s under the guidance of the division principals.  This position will manage the online subscriptions for the school, as well as manage and coordinate the use of the Google Expedition carts.  This position will coordinate the use of the Computer Lab, as well as support and train classroom teachers around usage of technology and STEAM projects.  This position works closely with the Technology Department, but will ultimately report to division principals.
    Qualified candidates will have experience in STEAM-based education, project-based learning, and Makerspaces, as well as experience with coding and digital literacy.   Candidates must have the ability and interest in working with students from age 2 years old through 8th grade.  Candidates must possess the ability and interest in supporting and training faculty in STEAM and project-based learning.  Candidates must have a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Education or Instructional Technology.  A background or understanding of technology in an academic setting is required.  This is a full-time position with benefits.  The position must be filled by end of September.

  • Parents' Night Out - Dec. 1

    St. Martin's Church invites SMES parents to enjoy a night out without the kids.  Go shopping, have a date or enjoy a few hours of rest before the holiday rush.  Kids will enjoy games, food and fun in the St. Martin's gym.  Children ages 3-12 are invited but older youth may attend and help out with the fun.  Proceeds will benefit the St. Martin's Church Journey to Adulthood (J2A) youth pilgrimage.
