2nd Annual Warrior 5K and Fun Run Recap

Nearly 400 runners attended the second annual Warrior 5K and Fun Run hosted by St. Martin’s Episcopal School (SMES) on Saturday, Nov. 16. The top-three 5K winners included Andrew Marshall in first place, Austin Logan in second place and Will McLaren in third place.
Congratulations to SMES student 5K winners Reese Richardson (sixth grade) and Thomas Koziol (fifth grade) and Fun Run winners Jack Anderson (second grade) and Lila Botham (third grade).
The 5K race was a Peachtree Road Race qualifier on a USA Track and Field certified course that wound through the beautiful Brittany neighborhood adjacent to SMES’ Brookhaven campus.
Participants warmed up after the races with hot chocolate and enjoyed a post-race celebration complete with the Atlanta Falcons’ own Freddie the Falcon, a DJ, sponsor booths, snacks and an award ceremony.
Thank you to St. Martin’s PTO volunteers for putting on the event, especially race co-chairs Tricia Anderson and Ashley Tagtachian.
