SMES Thespians Points from Perfection at International Festival

St. Martin’s Episcopal School’s (SMES) Middle School drama students scored four Superiors and two Excellents at the International Thespian Festival (ITF) in late June. Eight students were two points shy of a perfect score for their group musical performance of “A Musical” from “Something Rotten.” ITF welcomes thousands of high school and hundreds of middle school students each summer to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s campus to perform in the National Individual Events Showcase, compete in various technical challenges, attend shows and hone their skills in specialized workshops.
Troupe 88618 from SMES included: first row (l-r) Drew Park, Charlie Parker, Tanner Grady, Maya Warrier, Katherine Graham, Alex Hall, and Sapna Goel; second row (l-r) Heidi McKerley, Lillian Thomas, Emma Schwind, Nicholas Lennon, Gabby Hollier, Elizabeth McCall, and Reese Hudson; third row (l-r) Connor McCarthy and Max Miller; fourth row (l-r) Susan Murphy, Simon Guterman, Ansley Massanelli, Charlie Duerr, Jack Schmitt, Austin Scott, Katie Nama, Liza Love, and Spencer Stephens.
