Infants (8 wks-2 yrs)

This class introduces Infants to experiences that stimulate social, emotional and cognitive development. Children participate in age-appropriate activities to motivate and stimulate maximum growth and development. A vital part of infant development is feeling protected and trusted their needs will be met. Infants need to feel a sense of security, which occurs when their teachers provide continuous psychological and physical care, a priority in our classroom. 

This curriculum is designed to enhance, encourage and extend infant development. The program supports the school's mission of educating the whole person in a loving Christian atmosphere. Because the focus is on the development of the whole child, these children are more mobile and able to explore even more of their world.

This program is geared to our young toddlers' developmental needs while recognizing the uniqueness of each child and striving to meet individual needs. Through a balanced curriculum of learning-how-to-learn experiences, each child develops a strong self-concept while simultaneously increasing their awareness of the needs of others. Rich learning opportunities that are balanced to include new experiences, multiple learning styles, and sensory stimulation all support brain development by letting children play with a purpose.
