Panama Exchange Program

What if your child could travel to another country, living in another culture with a peer and his or her family? What if your child could visit a cosmopolitan city, an indigenous cultural center, a historic district dating back centuries, a beautiful beach or the world's most significant trade route?

Is your child ready for more?

A global perspective rooted in an understanding of different cultures and is a defining characteristic of our increasingly mobile society. Atlanta is home to Fortune 500 companies, universities, hospitals and international organizations where many languages are spoken and many cultures represented. The St. Martin’s community is increasingly mobile, as well, with many students sharing rich experiences of mission trips and family travel abroad.

St. Martin’s  Episcopal School offers 7th- and 8th-grade students a chance to participate in an inbound and/or outbound exchange program with our partner school, the Colegio Episcopal de Panamá in Panamá City, Panamá. Each fall, a number of St. Martin’s middle school families are selected to host students arriving from Panama for a two-to three-week stay. Each summer, St. Martin’s students can apply for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live the life of a student overseas. Students on both sides of the exchange live with a host family, follow a school schedule, share meals, travel around the region, learn a second language and experience a variety of activities  in a full-immersion experience.  Learn more!
